Maruyama Ayaka (丸山綾香, born on December 14, 1998) is the leader of Japanese pop group Urban Rise (U-RISE for short). She is also the leader of sub-unit KaYuRi.
Biography[]
2011[]
Maruyama alongside 32,456 other applicants auditioned to be part of Suteki Project, and she alongside 24 other girls were chosen to be part of it. She was later put into the mothership group of Suteki Project, "Urban Rise", alongside Oshiro Mayu, Nakajima Nao, and Inoue Shiori. It was later announced that she was to be leader. They debuted on June 20 with "Crazy About You".
2012[]
It was announced that after Nakajima Nao was to be voice acting a main character in a shoujo anime, that a sub-unit within U-RISE was to consist of the three remaining members -- Maruyama Ayaka, Oshiro Mayu and Inoue Shiori, called KaYuRi (Ayaka, Mayu, Shiori) and they were to sing the ending for the anime. They sung the ending, "Take off is now!" and it was released on October 28.
